MEDFORD'S SULLIVAN, RICHTER WIN RACES AT COLBY CROSS COUNTRY INVITATIONAL

COLBY – West Salem won the boys title and Medford was first in the girls team standings at the Colby/Abbotsford Cross Country Invitational on Saturday at Colby High School.
Medford’s Joe Sullivan won the boys race in 16:31.2, 24 seconds ahead of Mauston’s Eli Boppart.
Marshfield Columbus Catholic, which had an incomplete team with only four runners, had two finish in the top 11. Isaac Scheer was sixth in 18:04.3 and Andrew Scheer took 11th in 18:37.1 for the Dons.
West Salem finished with 40 points, with Mauston second with 75. Colby/Abbotsford was sixth with 152 and Loyal/Greenwood seventh with 166.
Talon Severson led Colby/Abby, taking 15th in 18:57.8.
Loyal/Greenwood’s top runner was Avery Horvath, who was 20th in 19:21.1.
Spencer’s top runner was Malachai Anderson, who was 58th in 22:30.4.
The Medford girls won the team title with 26 points as four runners finished in the top six. Meredith Richter won the girls race in 21:07.9 for the Raiders, defeating teammate Bryn Fronk by three seconds.
Colby/Abbotsford was third with 86 points and Loyal/Greenwood seventh with 179.
Colby/Abby had four top-20 finishes, led by Daisy Feiten (14th, 22:40.4) and Willow Oehmichen (15th, 22:43.5).
Loyal/Greenwood’s Addison Davidson finished 31st in 24:35.2 to lead the Greenhounds.
Spencer’s Theresa Knecht was 53rd (28:16.0) and Columbus Catholic’s Charlotte Schiferl took 63rd (29:50.9) to lead their respective teams.
