MARSHFIELD SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL CUTS RIBBON AT NEW BASEBALL AND SOFTBALL FACILITIES

MARSHFIELD – Marshfield High School officially dedicated the new baseball and softball fields on Thursday.

The fields were ready to go in spring 2020, but remained silent as school and spring sports were suspended just prior to the start of the season in March.

This year, however, everything is a go, with a number of games already played at Safford Field, the baseball field west of the high school, and Madison Field, the softball facility across the street from the high school at Madison Elementary School.

Nearly $8 million was raised from 2018-20, and was paired with $3.5 million from the Unified School District of Marshfield to build the entire athletics complex that includes Heiting Community Stadium, which held its first track and field meets earlier this week.
