ASHWAUBENON – Riley Bauman tripled home Cole Timmler with the winning run in the top of the 10th inning as the Marshfield Senior Legion baseball team defeated Bonduel 5-4 on Saturday.

Marshfield trailed 4-0 before mounting a comeback, scoring three times in the sixth and once in the seventh to tie the game and force extra innings.

After scoreless frames in the eighth and ninth, Brady Schmidt led off the 10th with a single for the Blue Devils. He was erased at second on a fielder’s choice by Timmer, who then scored on Bauman’s triple to right field.

Logan Homolka sent Bonduel down 1-2-3 in the bottom of the 10th to finish off the win for Marshfield (3-3).

Bauman finished 4-for-5, Ben Dietsche had a double and two RBI, and Braeden Schueller also had two RBI for the Blue Devils.

Schmidt was 3-for-5 and Timmler had two hits as well for Marshfield.

Marshfield will play a doubleheader at Appleton Post 38 on Sunday starting at 11 a.m.
