MARSHFIELD GIRLS TENNIS SENDING ONE DOUBLES TEAM TO SECTIONALS

STEVENS POINT – Marshfield had its No. 3 doubles team advance to sectionals after competing at the WIAA Division 1 girls tennis subsectional on Monday at Stevens Point Area Senior High.

Players reaching the semifinals in No. 1 singles and doubles, and the finals in all of the other five flights move on to the Division 1 sectional at Eau Claire Memorial on Wednesday. The top two finishers at No. 1 singles and doubles, and the champion at No. 2 singles and doubles, qualify for the WIAA State Individual Tennis Tournament in Madison on Oct. 17-19.

The top team in the sectional moves on to the WIAA State Team Tennis Tournament in Madison on Oct. 25-26.

Marshfield’s lone sectional qualifier is the No. 3 doubles team of Christina Chin and Ana Paape, who won a pair of matches on Monday.
