MARATHON BASEBALL PULLS PAST ASSUMPTION

WISCONSIN RAPIDS – Marathon scored eight runs in the final two innings to pull away and defeat Wisconsin Rapids Assumption 10-1 in a Marawood Conference South Division baseball game Tuesday at Witter Field.
Jaden Koeller struck out nine and allowed just three hits in a complete game effort for Marathon (11-6, 5-4 Marawood South). He also added two hits and two RBIs.
Mike Hahn also drove in two runs for the Raiders.
Nick Leberg had a double for the Royals, who fall to 3-12 and 0-8 in the conference.
The two teams meet again Thursday at Marathon High School.
