LATE GOAL PUSHES WISCONSIN RAPIDS BOYS HOCKEY TO ROAD WIN AT WAUPACA

WAUPACA – Josh Dekarske scored with 1:09 remaining to lift the Wisconsin Rapids boys hockey team to a 2-1 win over Waupaca in a nonconference game Tuesday at the Waupaca Expo Center.
Carson Gunderson scored with 2:44 left in the first period for Rapids (4-2) to tie the game at 1-1.
That score held until Dekarske found the back of the net in the closing minutes to give the Raiders the win.
Dakota Blaskey had 23 saves in goal for Wisconsin Rapids.
Wisconsin Rapids plays a Wisconsin Valley Conference game at Wausau West on Thursday. The game will be at the Marathon Park Ice Arena and begins at 7:15 p.m.
