IOLA-SCANDINAVIA PICKS UP FIRST WIN OF SEASON OVER SHIOCTON

IOLA, WI - The Iola-Scandinavia Thunderbirds baseball team found the win column for the first time in 2022 with a 2-1 victory of the Shiocton Chiefs on Thursday night.

RBI doubles coming from Will Tappa and Alek Rogalla, both in the sixth inning, gave the Thunderbirds the needed runs for the win. Iola-Scandinavia left the bases loaded in the bottom of the second inning and weren't able to take advantage of five walks. P Gullixon picked up the win striking out two and giving up one run.

Brady Morack had an RBI basehit for the Chiefs in the fourth inning. Morack also pitched all six Shiotcon innings, striking out four.

Iola-Scandinavia travels to Bonduel on Monday for a 4:30pm first pitch.
