IOLA-SCANDINAVIA CRUISES PAST PITTSVILLE IN BOYS BASKETBALL SEASON OPENER

PITTSVILLE – Iola-Scandinavia jumped on Pittsville early and rolled to a 59-25 in the nonconference season opener for both teams on Tuesday at Pittsville High School.


The Thunderbirds cruised out to a 38-9 by halftime and was able to maintain a big lead the rest of the game.


Parker Prahl had 20 points to lead Iola-Scandinavia.


Jordan Denniston scored nine points on 3-for-19 shooting to top Pittsville. The Panthers were just 10 of 45 overall from the field in the loss.


Iola-Scandinavia hosts Almond-Bancroft in its home opener on Friday. Pittsville will play Tigerton at home on Friday.
