COLBY – The Greenwood/Loyal softball team scored at least once in each of its 11 at-bats to cruise to a doubleheader sweep over Colby/Abbotsford on Tuesday at Colby High School.

The Greenhounds won 12-0 and 19-9 to remain undefeated in the Cloverbelt Conference East Division at 8-0 (11-5 overall).

Kaitlyn Lindner earned the pitching win in Game 1, striking out seven and allowing no walks and four hits in five innings. She also had three hits and two RBIs at the plate.

Zaida Brock went 4-for-4 with three RBIs, and Kayla Bremmer had a double and a homer and drove in three for the Greenhounds.

In Game 2, Brock and Emma Schlough each had three hits and three RBIs, and Lidner drove in three as well for Greenwood/Loyal.

Emma Oelrich had four RBIs for Colby/Abbotsford in the second game. The Hornets are now 3-12 and 2-6 in conference play.

Greenwood/Loyal plays at Neillsville on Wednesday and can clinch no worse than a tie for the conference title with a victory.
