GRANTON – The Greenwood girls basketball team earned its first win of the season, defeating Granton 52-7 on Thursday at Granton High School.


Avry Wuethrich scored 13 points and Mesa Rasmussen added 12 for Greenwood, which is now 1-6 overall and 1-3 in the Cloverbelt Conference East Division.


Granton falls to 0-5 overall and 0-4 in conference play.


Greenwood plays a nonconference game at Cornell on Monday before hosting Marshfield Columbus Catholic in a Cloverbelt East game on Tuesday. The game against Columbus will be live-streamed at zaleskisports.com.


Granton is back in action Tuesday for a conference game at Loyal.
