PITTSVILLE – Edgar won the final two sets to earn a 3-1 win over Pittsville in a nonconference volleyball match Thursday at Pittsville High School.
Edgar won 25-15, 29-31, 25-22, 25-16.
Reese Grimm had nine kills and 15 digs, Madisyn Schooley had seven kills and five service aces, Angel Millard had 11 assists, Brooke Jacobson had 10 assists, and Sara Lacoursiere had 15 digs for Pittsville.
Edgar is now 15-3 and Pittsville falls to 8-12 overall this season.
“It was playoff atmosphere,” Pittsville coach Buff Heller said. “We played hard and stuck right with one of the best teams in our region. Now we need to finish strong going into our last conference match.”
Edgar stats were not reported.
Pittsville hosts Port Edwards for its final Central Wisconsin Conference South Division and regular-season match on Tuesday.
Edgar hosts a six-team tournament on Saturday before finishing its regular season with the Marawood Conference Crossover Challenge at Marathon on Tuesday.
