EDGAR GIRLS BASKETBALL POUNDS GILMAN IN SEASON OPENER

EDGAR – Edgar held Gilman to just six made field goals and rolled to a 45-22 victory in a nonconference game to open the girls basketball season on Tuesday at Edgar High School.


The Wildcats pulled out to a 22-10 lead by halftime and nearly doubled-up Gilman in the second half to pull away even more.


Reagan Borchardt led a balanced scoring attack with eight points for Edar. Malia Hoesly added seven pointsin the win.


Edgar opens its Marawood Conference South Division season at Wausau Newman Catholic on Thursday.
