EDGAR BASEBALL OUTSLUGS ABBOTSFORD/COLBY TO REMAIN UNBEATEN

EDGAR – Abbotsford/Colby came back from a four-run deficit to tie the game, but Edgar responded with four more runs and won the nonconference baseball game 11-8 on Friday at Edgar High School.
After Abbotsford/Colby scored three times in the top of the first, Edgar plated seven runs in the bottom of the inning.
The Falcons eventually tied it in the third before Edgar scored three times in the fourth and added another in the fifth to pull out the victory.
Ashton Schuett picked up the win, allowing one run in 4 2/3 innings of relief, while striking out 10. He also had a pair of RBIs and two runs scored for Edgar (3-0).
Austin Dahlke had two hits and three runs scored, and Jordan Bunkelman had three hits and an RBI in the victory.
Ross Elmhorst, Marco Olvera and Brandon Diedrich all had two hits for Abbotsford/Colby (2-1).
Abbotsford/Colby hosts Pittsville on Monday, while Edgar will begin Marawood Conference South Division action with a game at Marathon on Tuesday.
