COLBY FOOTBALL BLOWS PAST OCONTO IN DIVISION 6 LEVEL 1 PLAYOFF

COLBY – Colby scored three touchdowns in less than two minutes in the first quarter to catapult them to a 49-0 win over Oconto in a WIAA Division 6 Level 1 football playoff game on Friday night at Colby High School.
Colby (12-1), the top seed in its bracket, moves on to a Division 6 Level 2 matchup against Abbotsford (5-4) on Friday, Oct. 29, at Colby High School. The two Marawood Conference squads were heading toward a mid-season clash when both were 4-0, but Abbotsford had to forfeit. The Falcons defeated Crivitz 26-15 in its Level 1 game Friday night.
Caden Healy caught a 54-yard touchdown pass from Brent Jeske, Jeske scored on a 3-yard run 53 seconds later, and 58 seconds after that Jeske returned an interception 23 yards to give Colby a 21-0 lead.
Mason Voss, Mateo Lopez and Ivan Haemer added rushing touchdowns, and Jeske connected again with Healy for a 23-yard score for the Hornets.
Colby outgained Oconto (4-6) 312-93 and forced four turnovers in the victory.
