COLBY – The Colby boys basketball team held Gilman to just six made field goals and pummeled the Pirates 85-14 in a Cloverbelt Conference East Division game Thursday night at Colby High School.


Richard Streveler had 16 points to lead four Colby players in double figures.


Tucker Meyer added 12 points, Mateo Lopez had 11 and Carson Rau scored 10 for the Hornets, who are now 11-3 overall and 8-2 in the Cloverbelt East. Gilman remains winless at 0-14 and 0-10 in the conference.


Colby plays a nonconference game at Marawood Conference South Division co-leader Marathon on Friday.
