ATHENS GIRLS BASKETBALL TOPS STANLEY-BOYD FOR SIXTH WIN IN A ROW

ATHENS – Sophia Coker had a double-double to help lead the Athens girls basketball team to a 43-36 nonconference win over Stanley-Boyd on Monday night at Athens High School.
Stanley-Boyd led 16-14 at halftime before the Bluejays took over, outscoring the Orioles 29-20 in the second half to earn the victory.
Sophia Coker had 12 points and 10 rebounds, and McKennzie Schug added 10 points for Athens, which improves to 16-2 with its sixth-straight win.
Athens will play a Marawood Conference crossover game at Wisconsin Rapids Assumption on Thursday. The game will be live-streamed at zaleskisports.com starting at 7:15 p.m.
