ATHENS GIRLS BASKETBALL ROUTS THORP

THORP – McKennzie Schug had 14 points and 10 rebounds to lift the Athens girls basketball team to a 61-35 win over Thorp in a nonconference game Tuesday night at Thorp High School.
The Bluejays rolled out to a 31-13 lead by halftime and cruised to the victory, improving to 8-1 this season.
Addison Lavicka added 14 points and Sophia Coker chipped in 13 points for Athens.
Athens hosts Greenwood for a nonconference game Thursday at 7:15 p.m.
