ASSUMPTION VOLLEYBALL WINS BOTH MATCHES AT AMHERST TRIANGULAR

AMHERST – The Assumption volleyball team won a pair of matches at the Amherst Triangular on Thursday.
Assumption defeated Adams-Friendship 25-20, 25-16, 25-8, and Amherst 25-20, 20-25, 25-22, 25-23.
Ava Schill had seven kills, Autumn Moon and Maleia Kolo each had eight service aces, Kendall Duellman had 11 digs, and Jayden Glaza had 14 assists for the Royals in the win over Adams-Friendship. Assumption finished with an astonishing 27 aces in the win.
Against Amherst, Kolo had a team-high 15 kills and three aces, Moon added eight kills and three aces, and Glaza and Schill each had 17 assists in the victory.
No Amherst stats, or a score from its match against Adams-Friendship, were reported.
Assumption hosts Stratford in its Marawood Conference South Division opener Tuesday. The match will be live on zaleskisports.com.
