ASSUMPTION GIRLS SOCCER SHUTS OUT RICHLAND CENTER IN DIVISION 4 REGIONAL SEMIFINAL

WISCONSIN RAPIDS – The Assumption girls soccer team kept its defensive scoreless streak alive with its 10th-straight shutout and defeated Richland Center 6-0 in a WIAA Division 4 regional semifinal on Thursday.
No. 4 seed Assumption (10-0-2) moves on to a regional final at No. 1 seed Wisconsin Heights/Barneveld (6-2-3) on Saturday. Game time is to be announced, but whenever it is, it will be live at zaleskisports.com.
Kayla Kerkman had a hat trick and Kendall Duellman had three assists for the Royals.
“It was a stellar performance by the team tonight in the opener of regionals,” Assumption coach Jim Wendels said. “We dominated the game from front to back and set the pace early to come out of the chute and jump on our opponent.”
