ASSUMPTION GIRLS SOCCER CONTINUES DOMINANCE WITH BLOWOUT WIN OVER MAUSTON

WISCONSIN RAPIDS – The Wisconsin Rapids Assumption girls soccer team continued its dominating season with an 11-0 rout of Mauston on Friday at Washington Field.
The Royals held Mauston without a shot and scored seven goals in the first 10 minutes of the game to cruise to the victory and improve to 9-0 overall and 6-0 in the Mid-Western Wisconsin Conference.
Sarah Shaw scored the game’s first four goals, all coming in the first 6½ minutes of the game.
Kendall Duellman and Clara Kubis each scored twice, and Kayla Kerkman, Addi Vollert, and Sadie Donahue also tallied goals for Assumption.
“We continue to put together some wonderful matches with some very unselfish play amongst the team,” Assumption coach Jim Wendels said.
Assumption hosts Arcadia at 6 p.m. Monday at Washington Field.
