WISCONSIN RAPIDS – Aaron Livernash tossed a complete-game two-hitter to lead the Wisconsin Rapids Assumption baseball team to a 7-1 nonconference win over Port Edwards on Thursday at Witter Field.


The game was a home game for Port Edwards.


Livernash struck out 12 and walked three, while allowing just two singles to earn the win for the Royals, their first of the season (1-2).


Jack Klatt had two doubles, a single and two RBI, and Ryan Shaw and Parker Gehrke each added a pair of hits for Assumption.


Assumption plays a Marawood Conference South Division game at Auburndale on Friday at 4:45 p.m.
