ANTIGO SENDS MOSINEE BOYS HOCKEY TO FIRST GNC LOSS

MOSINEE – Antigo scored four times in the opening period and went on to hand the Mosinee boys hockey team its first Great Northern Conference loss, winning 6-4 on Tuesday at the Mosinee Rec Center.


Trevin Walbeck scored in the opening minute, and added two more goals and an assist in the win for Antigo (9-6-1, 3-2 GNC).


A.J. Buenning scored twice, and Gavin Obremski and Carter Daul added goals for Mosinee, which falls to 10-6 and 4-1 in the Great Northern Conference.


Mosinee will play University School of Milwaukee at the Northland Pines Tournament on Friday in Eagle River.
