AMHERST BASEBALL RIPS WEYAUWEGA-FREMONT BEHIND LEE NO-HITTER

WEYAUWEGA – Seven different Amherst players had multiple hits and Ben Lee threw a five-inning no-hitter as the Falcons pounded Weyauwega-Fremont 22-0 in a Central Wisconsin Conference East Division baseball game Friday.
Landon Moe went 4-for-5 with a double, a triple, five RBIs and four runs scored to pace Amherst, which improves to 11-5 overall and 6-1 in the CWC East.
Jake Hoffman, Lars Evensen and Matt Glodowski each had two hits and three RBIs, Lee had two hits and drove in two, and Wyatt Blaskowski and Tyler Soulsby also had two hits each in the win.
Lee struck out 11 of the 15 batters he faced, while allowing no hits or walks. Only two Amherst errors kept him from a perfect game.
Amherst plays a conference game at Shiocton on Monday.
