ALMOND-BANCROFT TOPPLES PITTSVILLE IN CWC SOUTH BOYS BASKETBALL

PITTSVILLE – Pittsville shot just 33 percent from the field and dropped a Central Wisconsin Conference South Division boys basketball game to Almond-Bancroft 62-49 on Friday at Pittsville High School.


Jordan Denniston had 18 points and eight rebounds, Sam Bowden had 14 points, and Matcus Getsinger added 10 points for Pittsville, which falls to 1-7 overall and 0-3 in the CWC South.


The Panthers made just 20 of 60 shots from the floor and were 6 of 22 from 3-point range in the loss.


Almond-Bancroft is now 8-4 and 3-1 in the CWC South.


Both teams will play nonconference games on Monday. Almond-Bancroft will host Wisconsin Valley Lutheran and Pittsville will travel to Greenwood.
