ALMOND-BANCROFT EDGES PITTSVILLE IN CWC SOUTH VOLLEYBALL MATCH

PITTSVILLE – Almond-Bancroft earned its first Central Wisconsin Conference South Division victory of the season with a hard-fought 3-2 win over Pittsville on Tuesday night at Pittsville High School.


Almond-Bancroft won 22-25, 25-21, 25-17, 21-25, 15-11, to improve to 1-2 in the CWC South. Pittsville is now 1-3 in conference play.


“We just did not play our best ball…way to many unforced errors on our side of the net,” Pittsville coach Buff Heller said. “Hopefully we learn from these mistakes.”


Madisyn Schooley had eight kills, six blocks and five service aces to lead Pittsville. Angel Millard added 15 assists, Brooke Grossman had 11 assists, Kaylee Jacobson had 10 digs, and Reese Grimm had 10 digs, seven kills and three aces for the Panthers.


Pittsville will host Wisconsin Rapids Assumption on Thursday in a nonconference match, which will be live at zaleskisports.com.
