ABBOTSFORD – Brandon Diedrich and Mateo Lopez drove in runs in a three-run fourth inning to lift the Abbotsford/Colby baseball team to a 3-2 nonconference win over Marathon on Friday at Red Arrow Park.

Diedrich had two of Abbotsford/Colby’s four hits in the victory.

Nick Olvera threw a complete game for the Falcons (5-2), scattering five hits.

Mike Hahn had two hits for Marathon, which falls to 4-3 after its third-straight loss.

Abbotsford/Colby will host Spencer for a nonconference doubleheader on Saturday. Marathon hosts Northland Pines on Monday.
