THORP 8-MAN FOOTBALL SHUTS OUT GREENWOOD

THORP – Thorp improved to 6-1 this season with a 36-0 shutout of Greenwood in 8-man football action Friday night at Thorp High School.

Greenwood was held to 216 total yards and turned the ball over three times with interceptions in the loss.

Christian Thomas had 114 yards rushing and Xander Hinker had 54 for the Indians. Fletcher Bredlau also had four catches for 39 yards.

Thorp statistics and scoring plays were not reported.

Thorp hosts Athens and Greenwood (5-3) will be at home against Marion/Tigerton in their respective regular-season finales on Oct. 15.
