STRATFORD – Stratford scored three times in the opening quarter and never looked back, rolling to a 47-6 win over Manawa in its Central Wisconsin Conference Large Division opener Friday night at Tiger Stadium.

Gavin Kirsch, Raife Smart and Braeden Schueller each had rushing touchdowns in the first quarter to put the Tigers up 20-0.

After Manawa scored early in the second quarter, the Tigers scored 27 unanswered points to win going away.

Kaden Griesmer had rushing touchdowns of 10 and 37 yards in the second quarter, pushing Stratford’s lead to 35-6 by halftime.

Smart started the running clock with a 35-yard TD run in the third quarter, and later hauled in a 47-yard touchdown pass from Schueller on a screen to finish the scoring.
