STANLEY – Stanley-Boyd raced out to a nine-point lead by halftime and went on to defeat Loyal 41-29 in a nonconference girls basketball game Tuesday at Stanley-Boyd High School.
The Orioles led 23-14 at halftime and outscored Loyal by three in the second half to finish off the win.
Both teams are now 2-7 this season.
Abrial Kubista had eight points to lead Loyal.
Lily Hoel had 12 points and Leslie Derks added 10 for Stanley-Boyd.
Loyal hosts Rosholt for a nonconference game at 2:30 p.m. Thursday.
