SPASH, MARSHFIELD, D.C. EVEREST ATHLETES COMPETE AT WIAA STATE GIRLS SWIMMING CHAMPIONSHIPS

WAUKESHA – Athletes from Stevens Point, Marshfield and D.C. Everest competed at the 2021 WIAA State Girls Swimming Championships at Waukesha South High School on Saturday.


Stevens Point had a pair of relays and two individuals swim in three races, all earning top-20 finishes.


The Panthers’ 200-yard medley relay team of Eloise Cooper, Sophie Johnston, Jenna Breitbach and Ashley Pahnke finished 11th in the race in 1:49.31, and the 400 freestyle relay team of Breitbach, Johnston, Jocelyn Trzebiatowski and Brooke Swiecki took 19th in 3:40.07.


Breitbach finished tied for 11th in the 50 freestyle in 24.00 seconds and took 12th in the 100 butterfly in 57.17 seconds. Cooper competed in the 100 backstroke as well for SPASH and finished 18th in 59.24 seconds.


Marshfield’s 200-yard medley relay team of Terra Risa, Faith Risa, Courtney Donahue and Skylar Onsager finished 22nd in 1:53.57.


D.C. Everest had two relay teams at the state meet. The 200 freestyle relay team of Liliana Jessen, Makenna Zoesch, Katelin Hall, Marisol Swenson took 17th in 1:40.72, and the 400 freestyle relay team of Jessen, Nevaeh Mathwich, Hall and Swenson was 22nd in 3:42.53.
