SPASH BOYS BASKETBALL TOPS CHIPPEWA FALLS FOR FIRST WIN OF SEASON

STEVENS POINT – The Stevens Point boys basketball team won its first game of the season, defeating Chippewa Falls 66-55 in a nonconference game Tuesday at Stevens Point Area Senior High.


Stevens Point is now 1-3 overall, while Chippewa Falls drops to 0-4.


Nate Streveler scored 25 points and had seven rebounds for the Panthers. James Jacobs added 16 points and six assists in the win.


SPASH opens its Wisconsin Valley Conference season as part of a girls-boys doubleheader on Friday at Wisconsin Rapids. Both games, which start with the girls at 6:30 p.m., will be live-streamed at zaleskisports.com.
