ROSHOLT GIRLS BASKETBALL CLAIMS FIRST WIN OF SEASON

ROSHOLT - The Rosholt Hornets girls basketball team secured its first win of the season with a win at home over Tigerton on Tuesday night. The 44-27 win was also the first for interim basketball coach Scott Pettersen, who took over the team on Dec. 21.

In the win, Lily Lorbiecki led all scorers with 16 points and Sarah Trzinski added 10 for Rosholt. Trzinski and Sydney Trzebiatowski also grabbed six rebounds each during the game. The Hornets made four of five shots from beyond the 3-point arc as Lorbiecki ripped the nets three times and Sophia Bablitch added one.
Tigerton's Abby Swartz was the lone Tiger in double-digit scoring with 10 points. The loss drops Tigerton to 2-9 overall.
