PACELLI VOLLEYBALL REMAINS UNBEATEN WITH WIN AT PITTSVILLE

PITTSVILLE – The Stevens Point Pacelli volleyball team moved its record to 4-0 with a 3-0 win over Pittsville on Thursday night at Pittsville High School.

Pacelli won 25-14, 25-14, 25-18, to improve to 3-0 in the Central Wisconsin Conference South Division. Pittsville is now 0-4 overall and 0-2 in conference play.

Julia Redmond had seven kills and seven digs, Bekah Downs had five kills and seven digs, Angel Millard and Vanessa Pelot each had eight assists, and Melissa Giles had nine digs for Pittsville.

“We did a lot of good things throughout the match, but little mistakes and getting down on ourselves really hurt us,” Pittsville coach Buff Heller said. “If we put together full matches, the wins will come.”

Pacelli statistics were not provided.

Pacelli travels to Wittenberg-Birnamwood on Monday and Pittsville is off until Tuesday when it plays at Almond-Bancroft.
