PACELLI SOCCER TIES NEWMAN IN SCORELESS AFFAIR

STEVENS POINT – Grant Hinker saved five shots in goal for Stevens Point Pacelli as it tied Wausau Newman Catholic 0-0 in a hard-fought Central Wisconsin Conference matchup Thursday.

Pacelli is now 1-2-2 overall and in the Central Wisconsin Conference. Wausau Newman Catholic moves to 2-5-1 overall and 1-2-1 in conference play.

Newman Catholic hosts Chippewa Falls McDonell/Eau Claire Regis for a nonconference match on Tuesday. Pacelli will enjoy a week off before playing a CWC match at Northland Lutheran on Sept. 30.
