NEILLSVILLE/GRANTON WARRIORS HIRE NEW FOOTBALL COACH
SPORTSDESK - Neillsville/Granton football will now be led by former assistant coach, Reed Lehman. Lehman, an Edgar High School and UW-SP grad will take over for Scott Bryant. Bryant had coached the Warriors since 2017 before resigning this offseason.
Lehman, and new assistant coach Jason Kurth, will take over a Neillsville/Granton squad that was one win away from playoff eligibility in 2019. The team figures to return passing leader Braden Trunkel (479 yards) and rushing leader Jonah Zoschke (752 yards), both seniors to be.
Since posting a winless record in 2016, the Warriors have doubled their wins total since 2017 (1-8), 2018 (2-7), 2019 (4-5). Lehman and Kurth may not be able to continue the doubling trend, they will push their team for a playoff berth in 2020.
