SPORTSDESK - For the first time since the 2014/2015 Jenny Lindner led season, the Neillsville Warriors are Cloverbelt East champions.

The Warriors had two ways to claim a conference title on Friday night. Have either a Loyal loss at home to Columbus Catholic or a beat Granton on the road. Turns out, they got both. The Greyhounds were upset by the Dons 44-38 and the Warriors upended the Bulldogs 64-10.

The Neillsville win propels it to an 18-2 overall record and 15-1 in conference, two games clear of Loyal with just one to play.

Up next for Neillsville is a road game on Monday at Columbus Catholic and the Cloverbelt first place crossover game vs Cloverbelt West's Osseo-Fairchild. You can watch both games at

Neillsville seniors; Allie Schoengarth (12), Oliva Friemoth (14), Riley Voigt (20), Teeghan Mahoney (32), Kayla Oldham (44)
