MOSINEE – The Mosinee girls basketball team ran its record to a perfect 8-0 with a 66-29 trouncing of Merrill in a nonconference game Tuesday at Mosinee High School.
Mosinee dominated the first half, racing out to a commanding 42-14 lead and were not threatened.
Lexi Freiboth scored 12 points and Jenna Placek added 11 for Mosinee, which saw eight different players score in the victory.
Mia Ott had eight points for Merrill (1-7).
Mosinee travels to Rhinelander (6-1) for a Great Northern Conference game Friday. Merrill will be back in Wisconsin Valley Conference action Friday at Stevens Point.
