CHIPPEWA FALLS – Chippewa Falls McDonell ended Neillsville’s five-game winning streak with a 59-44 win in a nonconference girls basketball game Tuesday at McDonell High School.
McDonell led 21-18 at halftime before busting the game open by outscoring the Warriors by 12 in the second half.
Amelia Trunkel had 21 points for Neillsville, which drops to 12-2.
Lauryn Deetz had 15 points and Emily Cooper scored 13 for McDonell (11-2).
Neillsville hosts Gilman for a Cloverbelt Conference East Division game Thursday at 7:15 p.m.
