WISCONSIN DELLS – The Marshfield wrestling team finished 4-1 and placed third at the Adams-Friendship Devils Duals on Saturday at the Woodside Wisconsin Dome.

Marshfield defeated Fond du Lac 71-12, Lomira 48-33 and Milton 36-31 to reach the semifinals before suffering a 41-40 loss to Iowa-Grant on criteria after the match was tied 40-40. The Tigers rebounded to win the third-place match 48-30 over Mineral Point.

Four Marshfield wrestlers finished undefeated in the tournament, going 5-0 – Keagan Cliver with three pins, a major decision and a technical fall at 138 pounds; Brett Franklin with four pins at 152; Garrett Willuweit with three pints, a tech fall and a major decision at 160, and Camren Dennee with four pins and a decision at 182.

Caleb Dennee (126), Hoyt Blaskowski (145), Ryan Dolezal (170) and Cody Weix (195) all went 4-1, with Dolezal, Blaskowski and Weix pinning four opponents.

Marshfield will compete in a Wisconsin Valley Conference dual Thursday at D.C. Everest.
