MARSHFIELD BOYS TRACK WINS HOME INDOOR INVITATIONAL

MARSHFIELD – Marshfield had five first-place finishes and won the team title at its home Marshfield Tiger Indoor Boys Track Invitational on Tuesday at Marshfield High School.


Marshfield finished with 100.5 points, with Medford second with 84, and Stratford fourth with 56.5. Colby took fifth, Pittsville was eighth and Mosinee ninth.


Luke LeMoine won the long jump with a leap of 18 feet, 6¼ inches, Evan Pretsch was first in the 60-yard hurdles in 9.05 seconds, Henry Hoerneman won the 1 mile run in 4:54.62, and Graham Lonsdale won the 880-yard run in 2:16.5. The Tigers’ 3,200 relay team of David McKee, Lonsdale, Owen Hoerneman and Brandon Messmann also was victorious in 9:21.40.


Stratford’s top finish came from its 3,200 relay team that ran in 9:47.08.


Garrett Zuelke took third in the 60 hurdles (9.96) and Jett Schoenherr was third in the 220 in 35.68 as well for Stratford.


Colby’s Caden Healy won the shot put with a throw of 43-11.5 and the 60-yard dash in 6.37 seconds.


Abbotsford’s Ty Faleisek grabbed a win in the 220-yard dash in 24.81 seconds, 7/10 of a second ahead of Healy.


Mosinee’s Walker Beyerl had a second-place finish in the shot put with a toss of 42-9, and Pittsville’s Brennan Peterson was runner-up in the 60 hurdles in 9.49 seconds.
