MARATHON KNOCKS OFF PACELLI GIRLS BASKETBALL

STEVENS POINT – Allison Wokatsch scored 15 points to lead Marathon to a 41-32 win over Stevens Point Pacelli in a nonconference girls basketball game Tuesday night at Pacelli High School.


Marathon (10-7) led by one point at halftime before opening up its lead with an eight-point advantage in the second half and sending Pacelli to its third-straight loss.


Amelia Jacoby scored 14 points to lead the way for the Cardinals (10-8).


Marathon hosts Abbotsford in a Marawood Conference crossover game on Thursday. Pacelli returns to action Saturday with a Central Wisconsin Conference South Division game at home against Rosholt.
