KIMBERLY – Jackson Paveletzke scored 25 points to lead Kimberly to a 68-52 nonconference win over Stevens Point in boys basketball action Tuesday at Kimberly High School.
The Papermakers (14-6) pulled out to a 29-20 lead by halftime and outscored Stevens Point (11-8) by seven in the second half to earn the victory.
Baraka Makalin had 14 pints and Nate Streveler scored 11 to lead Stevens Point.
Owen Pawlikowski added 15 points for Kimberly.
Stevens Point returns to action Thursday with a Wisconsin Valley Conference game at Wausau East.
