JACKS SNEAK PAST HODAGS IN OVERTIME

RHINELANDER - The Wausau East Lumberjacks boys basketball team picked up a road nonconference win at Rhinelander on Tuesday night. East outscored Rhinelander 15-11 in overtime to claim the 79-75 victory, it's first on the season. Rhinelander falls to 1-1 overall.
Rhinelander carried a 32-29 lead into the halftime break before Wausau East drew even in the second half and put the regulation scoreboard at 64 apiece.
In the win, the Lumberjacks got 17 points each from Gabe Napgezek and Noah Strohming. Napgezek also grabbed 14 rebounds including nine on the offensive end. Dylan Buchburger also reached double-digits scoring with 16 points.
Wausau East will host Kenosha Indian Trail on Saturday with tip set for 3 p.m.
Rhinelander hosts Northland Pines Friday at 7:15 p.m. and then visits Shawano Saturday at 7 7 p.m.
