EDGAR GIRLS BASKETBALL DEFEATS ASHLAND AT NORTHLAND PINES TOURNAMENT

EAGLE RIVER – The Edgar girls basketball team took a double-digit lead by halftime and went on to defeat Ashland 61-42 in a semifinal of the Northland Pines Girls Basketball Tournament on Wednesday at Northland Pines High School.
Edgar led 33-22 at halftime and outscored the Oredockers by eight in the second half to finish off the victory.
Reagan Borchardt scored 18 points, and Malia Hoesly and Karlin Lipinski each added 10 for the Wildcats (6-4).
Edgar will play Northland Pines for the tournament championship at 2:45 p.m. Thursday.
