EDGAR BOYS BASKETBALL KNOCKS OFF UNDEFEATED MARATHON

EDGAR – The Edgar boys basketball team sent Marathon to its first loss of the season, downing the Raiders 59-39 in a Marawood Conference South Division game Tuesday at Edgar High School.
Justin Davis hit five of Edgar’s nine 3-pointers and led all scorers with 17 points.
Teegan Striet added 11 points for the Wildcats, who are now 3-1 overall and 2-1 in the Marawood South.
Marathon was held without a 3-pointer, going 0-for-11 from long range, and the Raiders fall to 4-1 overall and 3-1 in conference play.
Jaden Koeller led Marathon with 10 points.
Both teams host Marawood South games on Friday. Marathon will play Stratford live at zaleskisports.com, and Edgar will be at home against Wisconsin Rapids Assumption.
