MARSHFIELD – The Marshfield Columbus Catholic volleyball team had little trouble with Cloverbelt Conference rival Loyal, sweeping a WIAA Division 4 regional semifinal 3-0 on Thursday night at Columbus Catholic High School.


The top-seeded Dons won 25-9, 25-9, 25-17, to move on a regional final against No. 6 seed Wisconsin Rapids Assumption at home Saturday at 7 p.m. Assumption upended No. 2 seed Greenwood 3-1 in a regional semifinal Thursday. Saturday’s match will be live-streamed at zaleskisports.com/live-sports.


Meghan Kibbel had 32 assists and six service aces, Dorci Walker had 21 kills, nine digs and three aces, and Emmalee Jicinksy had 11 kills, two aces and four digs to lead the way for Columbus Catholic.


Jenna Kibbel added five kills, six digs and three aces, and Kelsey Moore had 10 digs and two aces for the Dons.
