COLUMBUS CATHOLIC SOFTBALL DROPS HOME GAME TO GILMAN

MARSHFIELD – The Marshfield Columbus Catholic softball team lost to Gilman 8-2 in a Cloverbelt Conference East Division matchup Thursday at the Marshfield Fairgrounds.

Sam Casperson and Breanna Duda each had singles and accounted for the Dons’ two runs scored in the loss.

Casperson took the loss on the mound for Columbus Catholic, which falls to 0-3 overall and 0-2 in the Cloverbelt East. Gilman is now 4-1 and 1-0 in conference play.

Columbus Catholic hosts Owen-Withee at 5 p.m. Friday at the Marshfield Fairgrounds. The game will be broadcast live at zaleskisports.com.
