COLUMBUS CATHOLIC ROLLS PAST COULEE CHRISTIAN IN WIAA DIVISION 4 BOYS SOCCER REGIONAL SEMIFINAL

MARSHFIELD – Dylan Porter had a hat trick, and Zach Olson had two goals and four assists to propel the Marshfield Columbus Catholic soccer team to a dominating 10-0 over Coulee Christian/Providence Academy in a WIAA Division 4 regional semifinal on Thursday at Griese Park.


Columbus Catholic (15-1-3), winners of 10 straight games, will host a D-4 regional final Saturday against Central Wisconsin Conference rival Gresham/Bowler (10-9). A game time has not been announced. The Dons beat G/B twice during the regular season.


Kellen Delaney scored at the 3:50 mark to get the scoring started and the Dons rolled from there.


Zach Olson, Afton Delaney and Tyler Linzmeier added goals before halftime to give Columbus Catholic a 4-0 lead.


Porter scored all three of his goals in the second half, and Olson, John Garneau and Afton Delaney added goals to finish off the scoring.


Columbus Catholic held a 38-6 lead in total shots and Dons’ goalkeeper Wyatt Drexler made four saves to earn the shutout.
