COLBY GIRLS BASKETBALL SNAGS WIN AT GREENWOOD

GREENWOOD – Kya Viegut made three 3-pointers and scored a game-high 18 points to lead the Colby girls basketball team to a 49-30 win over Greenwood on Friday night at Greenwood High School.


Colby led by 10 at halftime, 32-22, and held Greenwood to just eight points in the second half to pull away for the victory.


Colby improves to 6-11 overall and 5-7 in the Cloverbelt East, while Greenwood falls to 3-14 and 3-9 in the conference.


Kia Abel led Greenwood with eight points.


Both teams return to action Tuesday with Cloverbelt East home games. Colby will host Loyal and Greenwood will be at home against Spencer. The Greenwood game will be broadcast live at zaleskisports.com.
