COLBY FOOTBALL WRAPS UP OUTRIGHT MARAWOOD TITLE WITH ROUT OF AUBURNDALE

COLBY – The Colby football team finished off an undefeated Marawood Conference championship season with a 54-7 rout of Auburndale on Friday night at Colby High School.


The Hornets win the outright Marawood title and finish the regular season with an 8-1 record and a 4-0 mark in the Marawood (7-0 counting three forfeits). Auburndale will be heading to the WIAA playoffs as well, securing a spot in the Division 6 field and finish 5-3 overall and 2-2 in Marawood (5-2 with the three forfeits).


Each team’s quarterback traded rushing touchdowns early as Colby’s Brent Jeske ran in from the 11 just 1:22 into the game, and Auburndale’s Trayton Weber scored from the 2 at the 6:50 mark.
